New Town Treasurer Selected

The Town of Jones has been reviewing candidates for the Treasurer position following voter approval of Proposition No. 1 and Proposition No. 2 in the April 1, 2025 municipal election. The propositions changed the Town Treasurer and Town Clerk positions from elected to appointed roles.

Following the election, the Town posted the Treasurer position and formed a subcommittee to review applications. The Town received nine (9) applications, with four candidates advancing to the interview process.

At the January 20 Trustee meeting, Interim Treasurer Todd Young announced the committee’s recommendation of Chasidy Voss. Mrs. Voss brings more than 25 years of experience in accounting.

The Town has submitted a preliminary offer, which Mrs. Voss has accepted. Her appointment is anticipated to be formalized at the February 3, 2026 Trustee meeting.

At the May 6, 2025 Trustee meeting, Trustees also appointed Melanie Armstrong as Town Clerk, completing the transition of both positions to appointed roles following the April election.
