More Than a Finish Line: Jones Running Club Celebrates Fall Season with Community Race

Nearly 80 young runners gathered at Beatty-Mulhausen Community Park Tuesday morning, surrounded by family, friends and future teammates.

Before the sun had risen over Jones on Tuesday morning, October 13, families began gathering beneath the pavilion at Beatty-Mulhausen Community Park. The cool October air carried the sounds of excited children, encouraging parents and the nervous anticipation of a race about to begin.

For approximately 80 second- through sixth-grade students, the morning marked the conclusion of the Jones Running Club’s fall season. For their families, teachers and coaches, it was an opportunity to celebrate months of early mornings, hard work and determination.
